Msp World (Pty) Ltd operates as an online IT reseller in South Africa. All products sold on www.mspworld.co.za, including laptops and high-value IT equipment, are sourced on order from authorised distributors and are not held in stock.
Once an order is placed and payment is confirmed, the product is procured specifically for the customer.
- Online Orders & Cooling-Off Period
In accordance with South African law, certain online purchases may qualify for a cooling-off period. However:
- Products sold by Msp World (Pty) Ltd are sourced on order, based on customer selection.
- Once an order is confirmed and submitted to our distributor, cancellation is not possible.
- By completing checkout, customers acknowledge that the goods are ordered specifically for them.
Cooling-off rights do not apply where the customer has been clearly informed of this before purchase.
- Change-of-Mind Returns
❌ Not Accepted for Sourced-on-Order Products
Msp World (Pty) Ltd does not accept change-of-mind returns on:
- Laptops and notebooks
- Servers and enterprise hardware
- Custom-configured or special-order items
- Any product sourced from a distributor specifically for a customer
This includes cases where:
- The customer selected the incorrect item
- The item is no longer required
- The customer found the item cheaper elsewhere
Once ordered from the distributor, returns or cancellations are not possible.
- Defective Goods – Consumer Protection Act
All products sold by Msp World (Pty) Ltd carry a 6-month implied warranty in terms of the Consumer Protection Act.
If a product is:
- Defective
- Not as described
- Unsafe or not fit for its intended purpose
The customer may choose:
- Repair
- Replacement
- Refund
Conditions:
- The product must be assessed by the distributor or manufacturer
- Faults caused by misuse, damage, or unauthorised repair are excluded
- Warranty processes and timelines are subject to distributor/manufacturer procedures
- Dead on Arrival (DOA)
If a product is faulty on delivery:
- The issue must be reported within 7 days of receipt
- Original packaging must be retained
- A replacement or refund will be processed once DOA status is assessed & confirmed by the distributor
- Transit Damage
If goods arrive damaged:
- Damage must be reported within 24 hours of delivery
- Photos of the packaging and product are required
- Claims submitted after this period may not be accepted
- Refund Processing
Approved refunds:
- Are processed to the original payment method
- May take 7–14 business days
- May be subject to supplier, distributor or courier costs where applicable
- Non-Returnable Items
The following items are non-returnable unless defective:
- Laptops and notebooks
- Servers and enterprise hardware
- Software licenses and digital products
- Special-order and sourced-on-order items

To request a return:

- Include your order number and details
- Await written approval before returning any goods
Unauthorised returns will not be accepted.
- Legal Rights
Nothing in this policy limits or waives consumer rights under:
- The Consumer Protection Act (CPA)
- The Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA)
